Be Tick Free This Spring
« on: March 29, 2009, 10:13:08 AM »
Mentioned in another post, but thought I would start a new thread.  During the upcoming spring season while you are all out there chasin' those turkeys, you might want to consider Under Armour heat gear base layer, or cold gear if conditions warrant...you know ...sitting in a snow bank.....or any other brand of tight fitting under garment.

"Spend more time enjoying your friends around the campfire at night telling tales  :cmp1:, rather than in the camper hunting for ticks   :hunter:....lol."     :bdid:

The Preceeding Has Been A Public Service Announcement....LOL.

I think this is a better advertisement to use underarmour....

Wear under armour before this happens...

i've had three tick's on me the last two year's. :yike: last year reading a book and felt something tick crawling up my arm. not sure if it is from carrying the turkey's in my vest or walking. going to spray the vest down good and cloth's. Rick

Ticks SUCK!  I absolutely hate them  :mgun:  I completely spray down with tick repellent when I'm out during the spring. About 10 years ago I was out hunting turkeys near Lake Roosevelt....long story short...a couple days after I got home it felt like I had water in my ear. After a few day of that I went to the doctor. Well,  guess what? I had a tick attached to my ear drum! Oh yea! Ever had a shot in your eardrum. Not too bad untill the anesthetic started to wear off....The most pain I have ever been in in my life..I thought I was going to pass out! So the doc literally had to pull it off with tweezers. Since that day ticks are on my kill on sight list

That is really disgusting Jager.

I hate ticks.  I was in Glacier park shooting sheep and goats last April/May and a short 100 yard walk up to the goats and I had ticks all over me.  They were infested everywhere.  You could look on the bushes and see them.

Yeah....Klickitat County is terrible for ticks.  Much worse than the Blues or NE.....at least from my experiences.
